Camping Attempt 3/20/2010

Camping for spring break. It was a great idea until........ the transmission started smoking. Yep, transmission issues AGAIN!!!! We didn't let that get to us too much. We pulled over and enjoyed the area, played in the water, grilled some hot dogs, then headed home for smores in the back yard.

Ostrich Festival - 3/14/2010 Ostrich Races

The reason for the whole festival........ the ostrich races. I would have to say, there is nothing like the image of a man trying to ride an ostrich. We also watched camel races and horse stunts.

Ostrich Festival - Kayla Petting Zoo

Kayla was a little hesitant at first about what she was petting..... especially when the goat started eating her pants. By the end, though, she was trying to climb in the pens. We had a hard time pulling her away.

Ostrich Festival 3/14/2010 - Jousting

Our first stop for the day was the jousing. We were voting for the Blue Knight...... THE WINNER. While the fighting was a little rehearsed, we all enjoyed it..... Well, except Kayla. She isn't really into the fighting thing - no matter who it is
